Triage Health

Triage Health

Triage Health, a program of Triage Cancer, provides free education on the legal and practical issues related to navigating a chronic or serious medical condition.

Triage Health has extensive free resources for individuals diagnosed with a chronic or serious medical condition, caregivers, and health care professionals, on the legal and practical issues that may arise after a diagnosis. Free animated videos, Quick Guides & Checklists, state laws, and other resources that may be helpful are available on their website. Their free resources are applicable to anyone with a serious medical condition, or the general public.

Bag It Cancer Support

Founded in 2003, Bag It is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that Educates, Supports and Empowers cancer patients, care partners and families. Designed for anyone with any type of cancer, the Bag It bag provides reliable information from leading cancer authorities and organizational tools that help from the day of diagnosis and through all phases of survivorship.

The bags are available in English and Spanish.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network Patient Resources

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) offers resources for individuals with cancer, including the NCCN Guidelines for Patients. The guidelines may help you talk with your doctor about best treatment options.

2-1-1.org

2-1-1 is a free and confidential service that helps people across the U.S. and in many parts of Canada find the local resources they need. 2-1-1 connects you to a community resource specialist in your area who can help you find services and resources that are available to you locally. Resources may include, but are not limited to, supplemental food and nutrition programs, shelter and housing options and utilities assistance, and services for veterans. Triage Cancer

Triage Cancer® is a national, nonprofit organization that provides free education on legal and practical issues that may impact individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, through events, materials, and resources. The Legal & Financial Navigation Program offers one-on-one help with issues such as work, health and disability insurance, finances, and estate planning. CancerFinances.org is an online toolkit to help people manage finances after a cancer diagnosis. 

The Cord Blood Center

American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization. Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, the ACS has state divisions and more than 3,400 local offices. The national ACS mission statement says that the ACS is “dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.” The ACS website provides information on all types of cancer, related resources and ACS programs. Association of Cancer Online Resources

The Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACOR) hosts a large collection of free cancer-related Internet mailing lists and support communities. ACOR develops and hosts state-of-the-art Internet-based knowledge systems that allow the public to find and use credible information relevant to their families.

ASCO’s patient information website -- Cancer.Net -- brings the expertise and resources of ASCO to people living with cancer and those who care for and care about them. Cancer Survivor Toolbox

The Cancer Survivor Toolbox®is a program of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. The toolbox is a free audio program designed to help cancer survivors and caregivers develop practical skills to deal with the diagnosis, treatment and challenges of cancer. Caring Bridge

CaringBridge is a nonprofit organization offering free personalized websites to those wishing to stay in touch with family and friends during significant life events.
